Description

ROLEX DATEJUST REF 1600. 2.3 million serial number. Serviced in Oct 2016. New mainspring. Currently running about 3 seconds fast per day- within COSC specs. Black dial is original and is excellent. Lume is intact but does not glow. Case is very good and likely polished. Vintage ROLEX signed Jubilee bracelet with moderate stretch and has likely been polished at the clasp. Fits up to 7 3/4 wrist size. The photos don't do this watch justice.  It is a very nice timepiece.

Asking price: $2850 net. PayPal, cashier's check, or wired funds. Face to face OK if you are in the Houston TX area. Includes insured shipping within the USA. 3 day inspection period for return if not as described.

📖 About This Reference

**Rolex Datejust Reference 1600** The Datejust reference 1600 represents a stainless steel iteration within Rolex's date-displaying collection, offered with a black dial configuration. This 36mm reference was produced from 1969 to 1977, positioning it within the brand's automatic watch lineup of that period. The 1600 features a 36mm stainless steel case fitted with a smooth bezel and acrylic crystal. Water resistance extends to 100 meters. The watch houses the caliber 1570 automatic movement, providing 48 hours of power reserve. The black dial is paired with a Jubilee bracelet. This reference appeals to collectors seeking a mid-1970s Datejust in stainless steel with the classic 36mm case size. The black dial variant offers an alternative to other color configurations within the 1600 reference range. The smooth bezel and Jubilee bracelet combination provides a specific aesthetic within the broader Datejust collection of this production period.

Help me appreciate the Pepsi
So I was pretty excited when Rolex released the GMT master II Pepsi, and equally disappointed when my turn came up and the AD called. It’s been about a year now since I’ve owned it and my feelings pretty much revolve around “meh” I enjoy watches for the finish quality, mechanical innovation, heritag

Definitely not very hard to handle…
… a significantly gift from my father to me as a non-Rolex-guy. Fortunately it’s one of the few Rolex I like eventhough it is very small. But the watch is classy and got tons of old-school charme. The only problem: I don’t know nothing about it so I can only present some pictures. I’m sorry. Perhaps

Another Crown enters my collection – Rolex 14060M LGF
My very first “real watch” was a Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600… Another early in to the collection watch was the Explorer II 16570. Since then a lot of different watches, but not many Rolex… I never considered myself as a Rolex collector, but I always thought I should have a Submariner. A true classic tha

The long game .......
The long game…. I have been collecting for many years now and I have learned to be patient. My patience has however often cost me a few pieces as I felt they were too expensive or not good enough and another would be found for a better price or in better condition (read- every Paul Newman I have eve
