Description

Rolex Bullseye S/S 6532 from 1957 on a genuine Rolex black strap & pin buckle

I did a watch exchange with a good friend against one of my pieces.

He purchased it from a dealer approx 15 years ago and for the bulk of that time it remained in his safe.

I wore it solid for about 2-3 weeks and it kept amazing time.

The watch is about as original as you could possibly get. With no restoration that I can see, the dial is very good, with only minor markings. The once luminous spots above the hour markers, have slightly oxidised.
It comes from 1957, sized approx 34mm and still has its original butterfly rotor.
The watch comes fitted on a new, with very little wear, black genuine Rolex strap and Rolex pin buckle.
Unfortunately, the photos of the movement, rear cover and strap/buckle are in my emails and though I have tried, I can't transfer them over.
But I can email them to you.

The strap shown in the photos is not the one that will come with the watch. As it was an after market one.

Sorry, for the poor quality of the photos.

I have NO idea, how to price this, as I have not found many for sale.
So, I shall set the price at £1,900 and go from there.
It is negotiable as long as the offer is a serious one.

Thank you for looking.

Tony

Rolex nonchalant, a cry in the wilderness
Rolex watches should be worn modestly, not as a show of ego. Pictures of organic wearers like Don Perlin are more enjoyable than ostentatious displays. The article discusses different Rolex models and critiques flashy wrist-shots.

They found it and brought it gingerly to the surface. And when on dry land they held it in their hands, they gazed at it with stupefaction.
The Rolex "Fantastic Story" campaign showcased the miraculous story of a professor who lost his Rolex watch in the sea, only to have divers retrieve it in perfect working condition after a week underwater.

And now, something different: Rolex Zephyr, Ref 1008.
The 1008 was born somewhere in the 50's and was produced till the late 60's, early 70's. Here is a two-tone I could take in picture some weeks ago. On its papers, And now some ads... 34 mm case. They don't do it like this anymore... Best, Nicolas

Rolex 1018 Salmon.
Here is a watch I could have bought, but I have a doubt on the hands, which, I think, should be " Alpha Hands " in gold. The thing with the 1018 is the slim case and lugs, plus, here, the dial, salmon, which is really sublime. And, cherry on the cake, it is from 1964, which is a great year ( for me
