📖 About This Reference

The Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 3712A represents a significant evolution in the iconic Nautilus lineage, building upon Gérald Genta s revolutionary 1976 design while introducing contemporary refinements that enhanced both functionality and visual appeal. As part of the modern Nautilus generation, the 3712A maintained the collection s distinctive porthole-inspired aesthetic while incorporating updated proportions and manufacturing techniques that reflected Patek Philippe s advancing horological capabilities. This reference served as a bridge between the classical Nautilus heritage and the brand s vision for luxury sports watches in the contemporary market, establishing itself as a cornerstone model within the collection s evolution. At the heart of the 3712A beats the automatic Caliber 324 S C, a sophisticated movement that exemplifies Patek Philippe s commitment to mechanical excellence. This caliber features a central rotor crafted from 21-karat gold, ensuring efficient winding while maintaining the movement s refined finishing standards. The movement incorporates a Spiromax balance spring made from Silinvar, Patek Philippe s proprietary silicon-based material that provides superior resistance to magnetic fields and temperature variations. With its stop-seconds function and power reserve extending to approximately 45 hours, the Cal. 324 S C delivers both practical functionality and the exceptional timekeeping precision expected from the manufacture. The 3712A s design language celebrates the Nautilus DNA through its rounded octagonal bezel and integrated bracelet construction, while the 40mm stainless steel case provides substantial wrist presence without compromising elegance. The blue-green gradient dial creates exceptional depth and luminosity, shifting between deep oceanic blues and subtle green undertones depending on lighting conditions. Protected by sapphire crystal and offering 120 meters of water resistance, the watch balances luxury aesthetics with genuine sports watch capability. Among collectors, the 3712A occupies a prestigious position as a modern Nautilus reference that combines the model s legendary design heritage with contemporary technical advancement, making it highly sought after for its representation of Patek Philippe s mastery in luxury sports horology.

Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712 under the loupe - Reposted ten years New for 2020
I just realized that I didn't have any mcros of this watch, so I decided to repair this injustice. The 5712 is really a weird watch. I remember the first time I saw pics of a Nautilus, I said to my self " noway, too weird ". ...Till a few years ago, a friend of mine came to see me with a 3712 on the

The Nautilus Genève auction analysis
Craziness. Even as a die hard fan of the Nautilus I can not explain just what has happened over the last few days. The original 3700 in all guises had exploded, it has becone “Daytonafied” Even the unpopular 3700 s/g has tripled in value If it was just one auction one could say freak results, but in

Nauti Plunge
Need advice. Developed a crush (late, I know) on Nautilus and held out for the anniversary pieces. Not going there, for reasons that don't need repeating. I'm left with this conundrum: 5712 or 3712? Your views much appreciated.

Tomorrow I'll wear the complicated Nautilus with moon phase BUT
which one do I like more? Sometimes on Sundays there is an empty moment and I had it today. I took out both of my Nautilus sisters and tried to understand which one I like more - forgetting the case construction, rarity and value. Here are the two sisters: On the left is 5712 and on the right 3712.

weird seller not accept face to face deal!
towloon2006 Oct 17, 2017
May I ask since when I don't do face to face? Gibraltar is not that big btw. I can't remember you ever contacted me. Another moron?
towloon2006 Oct 18, 2017
Sorry for being rude to you last night When you get an e-mail response from me, you have my office address. Easy to spot.
holdemchamp1225 Oct 25, 2017
I have tried calling you 3 different times and left 3 messages as well as 2 separate emails for a face-to-face in London... without a single reply. I know you are in Gibraltar. If you could contact me and we could work out a meeting I would be keen to move forward with a purchase of your Patek. I will send ANOTHER PM here on PuristPro and hope I get a response this time. Please let me know.
towloon2006 Oct 26, 2017
Hi, had no time to check Am in Gibraltar. You can come anytime during business week. The rest info in PM and e-mail.
towloon2006 Oct 26, 2017
Sir, in your private message you ask me to fly to Paris (Place Vendome) that's why I did not respond I can not take two Pateks and fly to Paris. I can not handle over 9000 Euro with me on the way back to Gibraltar.
towloon2006 Oct 26, 2017
It was nice talking to you on the phone, Justin Have a great night.
holdemchamp1225 Oct 26, 2017
still no resolution or deal... like I said on the phone, I can meet you in the UK, France, or Spain without a problem. No one seems to want to fly to Gibraltar to purchase this watch. On top of that, you gave me a UK mobile number and state that your company is in Gibraltar. How about giving my your office number in Gibraltar and well as a PHYSICAL address which is NOT your bank? This person, named Ahmed, gave me a physical address claiming it was for his office but a simple Google search shows a Natwest bank and he claims that is where he does his cash deals.
On top of that, he claims to work for WAVE CREST HOLDINGS Limited in Gibraltar without a physical address or phone number and again a simple search on Google shows no record of his name working for this company.
I publish this info for the watch community to be careful and proceed with caution.
If Ahmed decides to move foward with a sale to me I will update with the details.
Strange indeed as I am willing to pay HIS asking price with ZERO NEGOTIATIONS !!
Hope this info helps and my apologies in advance to the moderators if I did something wrong

Justin, we had 20 minute conversation on the phone and I see this... As I see it, you just left me no choice but to sell you the watch otherwise it will not be possible to gain reputation. There is more. I e-mailed you with this information

Dear Justin,

Thank you for your message. It was nice talking to you. Worry not. That's correct, this one is the address of my bank - Natwest Offshore. The place where I do cash deals and where people know me.

Why even after this e-mail you leave me no choice but to follow your rules. This is outrageous. Immediately ask moderators to remove my company name from this forum! There will be NO deal between us. Forget it.

towloon2006 Oct 26, 2017
Dear moderators, please remove my name and name of my company from the forum. If you find it necessary you may delete all my posts as this post can harm my reputation and reputation of my company. This guy is an idiot.

Same here I had many exchanges with this person and honestly it doesn’t make sense: no references in the watch world, no way to talk directly (has no FaceTime no WhatsApp no Skype) Gibraltar based (?) UK prepaid mobile number and passeport from
a third country.... This watch has been for sale for half a year and (too) well priced.... You know the saying if it looks like and it smells like it probably is.....
towloon2006 Oct 31, 2017
Damien, for your information Gibraltar is defacto part of UK. My UK number is always with me because I travel UK-Gibraltar-UK. It doesn't matter what kind of passport I have got. You asked me to tag pictures for you. To take both pictures together with the same time and date so I did not. You have asked for my ID I gave it to you. Next step should be your address for the invoice. And once again some issue suddenly comes up. How can I convince you. Come and get the watch if you really need it and if you are a Buyer. Let's do this way, if you have any questions left drop me an e-mail...I don't want to follow up this thread as it is my sale ad.
towloon2006 Oct 31, 2017
Sorry for typo : You have asked me to take a picture of both watches together to set same time and same date, so I DID SO. Where's the problem? What's wrong with my passport? What's wrong with my company? Why UK number is not good enough for UK territory? Several times has been said come to Gibraltar and get it from my hands. Damien, sometimes try to understand person, this time it's me. How do I feel when someone absolutely not serious about purchase post this kind of comment. I sent you all requested information, you sent me your ID. What went wrong? Do you expect me to give you fake references or something? What for?
towloon2006 Oct 26, 2017
Dear community, I want to make it clear once and for all Please don't think I am arrogant peacock. During last month I have had enough experiences with weirdos. One guy from Barcelona suggests to come to his restaurant, quote: otherwise I won't sell my watch, only because I don't come to his place by the click. I am not your caddy! You have my address, and if you need the watch, go and pick it up.

The other guy suggests to meet in Madrid or in a third country, and IF I am worried, I can take my security with me. wtf?

Not mentioning Nigerian scammers who set me up 3 weeks ago.

I want to make it clear once and for all. When I buy something I come to seller, not otherwise. Please respect my time the same way I do. I am bit pissed off to take tagged pictures wasting time on business day visiting my bank and getting "thank you" after all. I am not in a hurry to sell my watches.

And one more thing - I don't accepts offers for 20-30% discount.

I hope I wasn't rude this time. Enjoy Thursday.
