The watch is titled “Vacheron and Constantin 2” The watch is made using a historical and rare 1925 Vacheron and Constantin pocket watch movement. Grieb is a well known German master watchmaker who only restores rare and historical movements. Approximately 13 Grieb and Benzinger watches have been made in total. They will only produce one if the movement is rare or of historical significance. Each watch therefore is one of one never to be duplicated. After Greib restores the movement, Benzinger takes it apart and hand decorates it. Jochen Benzinger hand skeletonizes, hand engraves and hand guilloches the movement using equipment that is over 100 years old. In the case of this watch, the movement was tricolored gold plated, hand engraved and hand guilloched. The base plate is covered with blue platinum. The dial is hand skeletonized sterling silver with the original “breguet” frosting. The watch is still under warranty until 2010
