For sale is my unpolished Daniel Roth 447.x.70.
This is the extremely rare platinum variant of this watch. Almost none pop up for sale.
Daniel Roth is the godfather of independent watchmaking. After revitalizing Breguet, he launched his own brand, which is now being resurrected in a great way.
What is really nice about this watch?
-Being able to see the chronograph in action on the dial when you engage/reset, is really, really cool.
-Great anglage, no visible machining marks. Indicates the watch was hand finished instead of machine finished.
-Heat blued hands and screws. These go from almost black looking to blue as they are exposed to more light.
-Lots of black polishing, nice visible cotes de geneve, etc. Unfortunately my pics kind of wash this out. I used an iPhone, so not the best set up.
-The guilloche/detailing around the subdials is a nice touch.
-Case work and lugs. Really beautiful, especially once on the wrist. This watch comes on a dark matte navy blue Delugs strap, but it with also come with the original black alligator Roth strap and platinum buckle. I barely wore it on the blue delugs strap, so it has a ton of life left on it! Also, it looks amazing
I am asking $23,000.
There are people on Chrono24 asking for more for the way less rare white gold and salmon variant. A recent white gold/salmon variant just went for more at auction. So I think my price is very very fair. I have plenty of references here on WuS and Moda.
WB currently has the WG variant (not platinum) for a lot more than I am asking as well
Please feel free to PM questions.
