Description

Hello Gentlemen, For sale, is a gorgeous original and early vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Gilt Double SWISS Milspec 1. These Milspecs are extremely rare and almost never come up for sale. This particular variation is the ultra rare Double SWISS configuration and only seen on few Milspecs. Originally belonging to an Ex-US Naval Laboratory dive instructor, it comes with its original strap and original past Blancpain service papers. The original Fifty Fathoms have become extremely difficult to source and sought after and being an early gilt Milspec 1Double SWISS, this example is no exception! A very rare opportunity and a must have for any serious collector. Dial: Milspec dial configurations are extremely rare and being a Double SWISS only adds to its rarity. Finding one is near impossible in most cases. The radium markers and hands are in excellent condition with no discoloration and are 100% matching. All lettering and fonts are perfectly clear and legible. Uniquely, the dial is very evenly crazed from age that only adds to the beauty of this amazing and rare piece. Bezel: The original radium Bakelite bezel is in exceptional, perfect and crack-free condition. Completely even in color, it has formed a deep rich patina over the years. This is easily one of the best Blancpain bezels I have seen before. The outer bezel is also in great condition and all teeth are sharp and intact. Case: The case is in fantastic condition with minimal polishing from Blancpain in the past. It still retains its complete original Microbiled/matte look and texture. The edges are all sharp and defined and the lugs, being very full, still resemble the original shape. Serial numbers are clearly visible on the caseback. Accessories: Coincidentally, this piece comes with its originally supplied Blancpain nato strap (very rarely seen) and also its original Blancpain service paperwork. An email is also included written by the original owner explaining the comings of this piece. Payment by BANK WIRE. Will welcome Face to Face transactions also. MANY REFERENCES AVAILABLE. PURCHASE WITH CONFIDENCE. FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR INQUIRIES.

Terrible (!) photos of different PCs, but on this particular night (the transition from February 28th to March 1st), perhaps interesting after all.
Checked perpetual calendars; documented date transitions. Watches' behavior varied: instant transitions, romantic leisurely change, some slight movements. A chaotic but enjoyable experience. Watch lovers may find it interesting.

comment All original, except the crown which should be the small one. This big crown, as you well know, is a later one, which you should precise in your announce.
