.... from April 30, 1979. It is powered by the magnificent IWC 8541 ES calibre (the most accurate mechanical movement of any of my vintage watches). 

This watch is epic, it is - to me - a piece of art. And, given its back then total commercial failure (too thick, too heavy, too expensive), IWC stopped production after 543 pieces. 

This one is - again - in mint condition. Zero stretch on the bracelet (to the contrary, it is actually quite sturdy).
