The RGB of IWC Pilot's Watch TOP GUN Boutique Exclusives 2013

The new three boutique-exclusives of the ceramic TOP GUN Pilot's Watches recently arrived in the local IWC Boutique.  Based on three primary colours - the RED Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar, the GREEN Big Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN and the BLUE Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN. 




However, the RED Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar, flew off the shelf fast. 

For the fans of IWC, some quick snapshots of the GREEN & BLUE before they take off !



Big Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN Boutique Edition (Ref. IW501903)



48mm diameter (15mm height) ceramic sandblasted case paired with black soft strap and sandblasted steel folding clasp.




Double-side anti-reflective coated convex sapphire crystal enhances clarity of the dial and reduces glare.
According to their specifications, the crystal is secured (would not pop out) against displacement by drop in air pressure.
Indexes and markings on dial, hour and minute hands are in green.  The second-hand tip is in white while the counterweight with the TOP GUN motif is in green. 

The date remains white providing a balance with the tip of the second-hand. 

Wonder would it look even better if the date also in green?

Solid caseback with the TOP GUN Logo and engraved 'One out of 500'.
Within is the automatic Pellaton caliber 51111, beating at 3Hz and a power reserve of 7 days.





Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Boutique Edition (Ref. IW388003)

The flyback Chronograph in slightly smaller at 46mm diameter (16.5mm height) sandblasted ceramic case.


Like the Big Pilot above, dial is dual colour theme -  blue (hands, sub-dials and indexes)  and white (date and tip of chronograph-second-hand). Sapphire crystal is double-side anti-reflective coated.


Pretty interesting, with three-type of surface finishing, matte ceramic with brushed-finish pushers side and glossy top.


Close up of the dial.  Sub-dial at 12H is the 60-minute counter, whereas the sub-dial at 6H is the running second.


This flyback  chronograph is with Caliber 89365, housed in a soft-iron cage. 
The automatic movement beats at 4 Hz and has a power reserve of 68 hours. 
The tactile of the pushers could be smoother.

Screw down crown.




Large date window, inspired from aircraft instrumentation.
