The hexagonal Audemars Piguet Bezel
I for one am looking forward to seeing what comes from AP in the coming years.
Whether it be a new royal oak design or a 'Survivor 2' I would like to see AP
refine the hexagonal bezel in a more aesthetically pleasing way. From a design
aesthetic, look at the way it functions with the case and the shape of it... perhaps
make it more curvacious? I think the best integration of AP bezel and sapphire is that
of the CW1... it is more curvey and not so harsh, just darn right sexy! Treat the new
ROO and RO design in a similar way?! Please.

In more simple words....
Look at the hexagonal bezel and what's its function? Now revisit that function and execute it in a completely different aesthetic/execution. Easy. ;)
Difficult to touch to a Myth.
And honestly, I don't complain about the hexagonal RO bezel. It is part, and a strong one, of the RO DNA. Therefore, seeing it more curved will make me think about an overpolished vintage model...A crime of lese horology. Best, Nicolas ...

Hey Amanico, Don't get me wrong, I do like it and am not complaining, just challenging the DNA and whilst it certainly is an important part of the AP DNA, we don't want to see it completely curved, just a little... bit of curve never hurt anyone!?

Such a watch is in no way a confirmed project. I re-read my posted interview with Octavio and stand by everything I wrote, but in no way said a Survivor 2 is definitely forthcoming. As for a bezel update or redesign... hard to consider that one. The Royal...

The RO bezel is octagonal... Which I believe is too iconic to be redesigned out of this shape :)

If AP revisited this original concept watch and downsized the case by 2-3mm, perhaps refined the lines a little, added either a minute repeater function or even a futuristic 'Starwheel' complication, I would be a very happy man! ;) Is that too much to ask...
