Thank you, MTF. I do not think that the mentioned watches are the same. But, IMO, they are somewhat similiar as to their simple look and fuction - both measure hrs an mns. Not very often one needs more. Thickness of Santos Dumont is 5.58 mm while Altiplan... 

I've tried both on and each has a lot to offer. The Altiplano, is definitely thinner, feels maybe a tad dressier, but each looks and feels great on the wrist. The Altiplano of course uses an in house Piaget made movement. The Santos Dumont uses a Piaget b...
