Senator navigator and Tritium
Hello purists,
I've been thinking of acquiring the older style Senator Navigator and was wondering about Tritium dials in general for those in the know.
Does the Tritium on the dial always "yellow" over time? Does this cause any damage to the dial itself? When the Tritium luminsecence runs out and I send the watch in for service, is the dial replaced with a Tritium dial, is Tritium reapplied to the same dial, or is the dial replaced by a Superluminova dial?
Any thoughts on the watch in general? I was also considering an older classic IWC UTC but haven't made up my mind yet.
