This morning, during the coffee break, I start surfing the PP website to find a source of inspiration: I would like to design something new.
I was struck by the beauty of the Gondolo 5124G and I immediately imagined "my" personal version. This evening, in a couple of hours, I've done the work, translating the ideas into graphics and... here it is.
First of all, I've divided the dial in two sectors: the central part has a guilloché finish, starting from the hands axis, while the dial sides have a vertical brushed finish. The shape of the guilloché sector wants to remind the case one. The next step were the blued hands and a specific font (created by me) for the stamped numbers; the version I like the most is without 12 and 6. The chemin-de-fer minute ring isn't changed, but it's interrupted by the guillochage; please, note that the two rings are "closed" by a fine line. Next step: the small seconds sub-dial reminds - again - the case shape. Last touch: a very dark grey crocodile strap with grey stiching.
Do you like it?
Ciao!
