Can you tell me why some old PP watches (pocket to be precise) are not always signed on the dial? but will have the cases engraved with PP and the movement signed?

Not sure but...
Hi, I guess that it may be because in the past, at the time of pocket watches, brand names were not always written on dials. It could also be that some may not have the original dial. Best Dje
