one more thing add, the Striking 10th is a limited edition watch. Although 1969 pieces is not that limited a run, it is still limited-ish. Rieussec is not a limited production... (unless i got my facts wrong on this matter)

my first post, then you are correct....it is not a limited edition. Although by default the production is limited by a Montblanc's self imposed goal of releasing only a small amount of Rieussecs a year to retain exclusivity and prevent leaking of the mode... 

so it probably won't be as "limited" as what it is now, so I'd take that into consideration as well. The main thing for me is always how does the watch make you feel when you look at it? Your answer to this question basically sums it up to me - I'd choose...

it depends on your personal preference ! I can't say that I completely understand Montblanc's pricing strategy given the prices you were quoted. All I know is that the Skeleton chrono disk/manual wound version is really popular and extremely hard to find....
