Is this a replica/counterfeit?

Patek phillipe watch my grandfather mailed me from Thailand. Im not too familiar with vintage watches of this high caliber of quality and worth. I'm afraid to ask what he paid, if it is a fake, because he is a made man. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you, Mike
