I recently discovered the watch on the right, a Patek Philippe ref. 11 from 1919, and the vertical layout of its Arabic numerals reminded me of the Arabic dial of the ref. 5014, here on the left.
The ref. 5014 with a dial featuring vintage looking Arabic numerals was done both in yellow gold and...
...white gold.
This example of ref. 11, featuring vertical Arabic numerals, was produced in 1919 and sold on June 12, 1920.
More recently, it was sold by Phillips on May 12, 2019.
The watch was photographed by Hodinkee in 2016 at The Goodwood Festival Of Speed on the wrist of its previous owner.
And this wrist shot of ref. 5014 was made by John Philip Green (@johnphilipgreen on IG).

Like both, with a preference to the older bigger brother. What is unreal is that the engraving on the back of the case still looks like that. I guess little brother is the Patek Philippe tank!
Thank you! As far as the vintage piece is concerned, I think I pref the dials with exploding numerals.
And, as far as the 5014 is concerned, I like it better than the Cartier Tank: the case is more interesting, imo, and, whether Arabic or Roman, the numerals are less regular and I like that. Best, Emmanuel
