Hi everyone. It's now been about six months since I've purchased my senator power reserve. Each time I wear it, I am reminded of how pleasing it was to purchase this watch. Every now and then, I pull out my loupe and observe the beautiful detail of the watch, front and back. Last night, I was looking at the dial through a loupe, specifically the markers that take the place of the numbers. Surprisingly, the markers all had rough, unfinished edges in addition to spotty/cloudy surfaces indicating a lack of finish. I checked one marker after another and although under ordinary light they appear shiny, under a loupe and a close lamp the markers show a lack of finishing/polishing. I was a bit surprised that the markers were slightly rough in this respect. I also noticed some scratches on the power reserve needle, scratches that are faintly noticeable with the naked eye. I do realize that if you look close enough, you can find a blemish in anything. However, I would expect that Glashutte would take care in polishing these fine details so as to ensure a clean and smooth surface, not noticeable to anyone viewing the dial with the naked eye. That being said, have any of you senator owners taken notice of this irregularity in your watches? Just interested in feedback. Thank you in advance!
