A sick 5056P
Hello Puristers,
My two month old 5056P isn't at all right. It stopped at one point(power reserve still indicated tension on the mainspring) but quickly started up again when I wound it up further. Then, several weeks later, it seemed as though it wasn't keeping time. I thought that maybe I simply had set it incorrectly after I allowed the power to run completely down. So, I set it and made a note of the time and date. Well, I wore it a day or so later one evening for several hours. When putting it to bed, I noticed that it was about two to three minutes slow - I didn't reset it at that point. The next morning it was 8 minutes slow.
I bought it NIB from an authorized dealer. Should I contact the dealer or just go directly to Patek? I am saddened by this but know that Patek will not let this go unresolved.
I'm all ears.
