96 versus 3796
I am in the process of deciding between buying a
96 or a 3796. I like both for their aesthetical simplicity. I want the watch to wear it, not to store it somewhere.
Which model should I prefer? Is it better to buy a younger 3796 or is a 40 year old 96 as good if you think of using it?
Or doesn't this really matter.
In particular, I am wondering about the different movements they have. Is there a notion of one type of movement being better than another? If so, what criteria are determining this. Is a 215 equal to a 12-200? Does the age play a role. What are the relevant issues here?
