5496P vs 5970
I'm considering getting one of these two...
I love the clean and uncluttered design of the 5496 and the price is about right. On the other hand, will it become as collectible as the 5970?
I really like the complication of the 5970 and it's nice both in rose and white gold, but it has appreciated almost 50% since it went out of production and I fear (I might be totally mistaken here) that it might currently be overpriced in the 2nd hand market?
Is it a case of retrograde vs Chrono? Very different watched, I know, but it's so hard to decide!
Any input would be HIGHLY appreciated.

For me ...
a chronograph is a chronograph, is a chronograph :-) Perpetual calendar is nice, a retrograde one is even nicer. Anyway the chronograph complication sings louder to me. Oliver

I bought a 5496P and it just didnt do it for me in lots of was a lemon to sell too. I PX's it for a 3970 which I just love Roni
Don't care about collectibility, but I much care about the coolness of the 5970.

on a different continent... Have just bought it and will collect it towards the summer or whenever I have time to fly half way across the world for that purpose. Presently being stored in someone else's vault. It might take a while but promise to post!
Finally
I picked up my new grail piece from the guy I bought it from and changed to a dark navy strap... Now it's time to simply wear, enjoy and look after for the next generation:-) ...

Do you know if the movement is very sensitive when it comes to setting the varius functions via push button, or can I basically do whatever as long as it happens between 0600-0900hrs? Also, are there any issues with winding? Best, Nicolas
