5085 and 240
Hello all,
I am picking up a 5085 on Friday - 1/28. I have also read much of the issues on both sides of the micro-rotor design of the 240. I am moderately active and intend to wear the watch 24/7. If anyone is interested I'll update how it goes after wearing the watch for a week.
Now, here's where I throw in a monkey wrench. I have no intention of treating my 5085 like a museum piece. I will wear it in the shower, playing golf, etc.
Over 35 years I have owned BlancpaiN, Ulysse Nardin, Rolex, etc. and treated them no differently. I have heard all the reports of weakened gaskets, shock. etc. I never personally experienced any service issues nor dramatic changes in accuracy.
Anyone else up to be tarred and feathered???
