... on my way after my JLC manufacture visit in Geneva to London, last week, I planned to make a visit to Paris where is a place I have ever visited before.

During the short stay of 2 full days in Paris, I managed to met two good friends of mine who are the hard core fan of JLC, one of them is our best known JLC moderator, Nicolas. Despite of his busy schedule for work, family and horological hobbies, he took his time out to meet.

We first met in a restaurant for a drink and then he brought me to an awesome watch shop where has many great and rare vintage watches displaying and selling, especially JLC.

Anyway, I had a wonderful catch up with Nico about watches, family, work etc., and also viewed some of his recent amazing collections which he was carrying along.

Despite of the short meet up, I treasured the time he spent with me and most importantly the friendship being built over the years from virtual world in PuristS here to face-to-face meet ups which you probably can’t find this from other places, like other social media where most of them are transit passengers who are no sense of belonging.

Anyway, congrats his recent catches and hope to see him again soon.

Stefan

"where most of them are transit passengers who are no sense of belonging."

You have hit the nail on the head Stefan, and even though I don't post so often (business has taken time away from building up my collection), I have been here for over 10 years now, and feel I know a lot of people here very well, even though I have never met them. In a world where " where most of them are transit passengers who are no sense of belonging", this place has a real sense of belonging. I wish all fellow Purists a happy holiday! Cheers, Imran

I can't agree more, Imran. That's what makes a big difference between us and the rest of the net world. [nt]
