Emmanuel, known as quattro on WatchProSite, delves into the intriguing watch choices of independent watchmaker Xhevdet Rexhepi. This article explores Rexhepi's personal timepieces, offering a unique glimpse into the horological preferences of a master craftsman. Emmanuel's detailed analysis provides a valuable reference for collectors interested in the watches worn by industry luminaries.

Yesterday, while preparing my thread on Xhevdet Rexhepi's Minute Inerte, I noticed he was wearing two vintage watches and tried to figure out which ones.

And I must say, I find his choices as interesting as they are unexpected.

Best, Emmanuel

A/ OMEGA CONSTELLATION Ref. 155.0022

I could be wrong, of course, but in the picture below, I have the feeling that the wristwatch, worn on his right wrist, could be an Omega Constellation Ref. 155.0022 (powered by cal. 711) like the following one (you can also notice that Xhevdet Rexhepi wears his Patek Philippe school pocket watch as a pendant):

Or maybe a model with needle hands like the following example (which has a bronze dial instead of a black one):

Or maybe even a Quartz model, ref. 395.0801:

B/ PATEK PHILIPPE Ref. 3545/1 in yellow gold

In the MentaWatches video (cf. the end of this thread) from which the photos below are taken, it appears clearly that the watch Xhevdet Rexhepi is wearing is a yellow gold sigma dial Patek Philippe Ref. 3545/1 powered by cal. 23-300.

Here's the MentaWatches video: the passage where the Patek Philippe watch is mentioned is between 10:00 and 10:30:

I understand if his own watch is too expensive for him

A glance at the wrist should reveal the time, rather than evoke memories of the development hiccups, aggravation with suppliers, slips of the rose engine, failed running time tests, etc. That’s my opinion

There is obviously a lot of bad blood between them
