Cazalea embarks on a unique horological journey, challenging himself to wear all 100 of his watches over a 10-day period. This installment, 'Part 4 of 10,' focuses on his collection of small, older timepieces, offering a glimpse into the diversity and personal stories behind each watch. His endeavor provides a fascinating look at a collector's relationship with his extensive collection.
[if you just joined us, I couldn’t answer which of my ~100 watches I did or didn’t wear in 2018, so I decided to wear them all over a 10-day period at the end of the year. This is the adventure & the proof that it really happened.]
I choose for today’s theme “Small, older watches” as I think I have at least 10 of them:
#31 is a Sinn with luminous dial. It’s one of the first watches I ever bought and it needs a service. But it still glows. I took the photo last night. I am sure I never wore this in 2018 until now.

I got up relatively late (for me) and now you can see I am getting ready to slice some bread.
#32 Enicar Deluxe with spring steel strap. This is a great little watch with very textured and overly-labeled dial! Maybe this is where Rolex got the idea to put multiple lines of text on their dials?

#33 A gold, small-seconds Wittnauer while checking out the Christmas dishes my wife has set out on the dining room table.
Sadly, I rarely wear it, but it's a nice watch and so light you forget it's there.

#34 A thin dressy 17-jewel Diashock Seiko is wrapped around my wrist - I’ve had this one for at least 15 years, and I know I have worn it several times in 2018. Christmas cards and Angels have taken over the entry hall!

#35 My Grandfather’s 1950's gold Omega bumper-wind automatic checks out the Mexican Nativity set. I might have worn this once or twice in the past year.

That’s it for now. I have to go cook Sunday lunch for 20 - which watch(es) should I wear?
[time passes]
#36 Indestructable Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified on brown leather strap.

I cooked about 20 lbs of ahi tuna for 35-40 people, ate (more than) my fair share, and helped a bit in washing up (and finishing the Merlot)

Whew! Time for a short nap, but the weather is so nice outside, I thought first I have to do a Bloman shot including airplane.
#37 Omega Seamaster with scallop-shell pattern dial

Then a look at the blooming flowers with the
#38 military plastic case Benrus
I'm thinking I'll pick out a watch to fall asleep with, napping in my big red eather chair.
#39 Here is a small, light but nifty Laurier which I bought thinking about my wife, whose name is Laurie R Cazalea
#40 the Croton Diver, Santa and I send Mele Kalikimaka greetings to everyone!

That takes care of 10 for today.
