It's another new model from Vacheron Constantin!  This time, the Traditionelle case has been reinterpreted to accept a Complete Calendar movement.  I'm a fan of the Traditionelle line, and you will find my review of the Vacheron Constantin Tourbillon in the Traditionelle case here: www.watchprosite.com

It's got a beautiful grey and black dial with a very organized and symmetrical layout.  Keep in mind, this isn't a "smart" calendar, meaning it assumes every month has 31 days.

The case and dial are well laid out and share a symmetrical balance.  The whole form of the watch looks very architectural.

Vacheron Constantin obviously has some of the world's best movements.  And this one is finished to typical Vahceron Constantin standards and does feature a Geneva Seal!  Cased up, this watch is 10.7mm thick, slightly thicker than I'd like, but it offers some nice wrist presence!  The thickness is well proportioned to its 41mm case, so it's a modern size!

It's a beautiful work of art, this movement, and deservingly cased in white gold.

Technical specs are below.

It would not have been very far from perfection if the case was slightly smaller, let's say 39 mm, which is possible for a 29 mm big movement, and thinner ( let's say 9 mm ).

AND with a manual winding movement. Thanks for sharing the news, mon ami. Best, Nicolas

I wonder why they follow on keeping such great sizes. A marketing thing? Another one? ;)

Years ago the head of the VC boutiques globally told me they were doing it based on marketing surveys they were conducting, with big bias on US market results.

He was upset about that trend, worth adding and to be complete. He is not with them any more and he was a stalwart of the brand, unfortunately

There are three major marketing plagues: Case size, date and wording.

So close, yet so far.... a typical story of VC, 39mm would have been perfection
