April 2, 2012 (New York, NY) — Vacheron Constantin, the world's oldest continuous watchmaker, and Tourneau, leading authorized watch retailer, hosted a private watch collector's event on Wednesday, March 28th.  Hugues de Pins, President of Vacheron Constantin North America and Jim Seuss, Chief Executive Officer of Tourneau, invited customers and watch connoisseurs to the St. Regis Atlanta to preview the Swiss Watchmaker's newest watch collection.

Collector's Dinner

Guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails in St. Regis's Private Residence, designed by Architectural Digest's AD100 honoree Suzanne Kasler.  Vitrines housed timepieces from Vacheron Constantin's newest watch collection which made its debut at the Salon Internationale de la Haute Horologerie in Geneva in January, alongside their current collection counterparts.  Among the collections, Vacheron Constantin displayed the newly redesigned Malte collection, introduced in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the tonneau-shape watch, and new additions to the Patrimony line.

 

After the cocktail, guests moved to the St. Regis Wine Room.  Mr. de Pins, who was introduced by Jim Seuss, spoke about Vacheron Constantin's rich brand heritage and the brand's distinguishing qualities, such as high level of finishing, mastery of complications, and audacious designs dating back centuries.  The evening advanced with an exceptional dinner of Wild Mushroom Basil Ravioli, choice of Tomato Crusted Sea Bass with Spinach Mousseline, Fennel and Pernod Cream or Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Crushed Baby Potatoes in a Cognac-Peppercorn Demi-Glace.  For dessert guests enjoyed Gianduja Mousse with Spiced Poached Pear and Hazelnut Praline in a Port Wine Syrup.
