Jp75, a respected member of the WatchProSite community, shares his latest acquisition: a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Collection Excellence Platine. This article delves into Jp75's personal reflections on acquiring a second version of this esteemed reference and explores the nuanced discussions from fellow collectors regarding its design, wearability, and unique attributes. His post highlights the subtle yet significant differences that justify owning multiple iterations of a beloved timepiece.

Wanted to share the joy of having added (another) patrimony Traditionelle to my Vacheron Constantin stable, namely the Collection Excellence Platine one.

The dial is mesmerizing with this “textured” effect which sometimes simmers, the weight reminds you that you are wearing a nice watch.

Have also changed the strap from the dark blue, platinum threaded one to a classical “chocolate” one. The watch is now the ultimate stealth and I enjoy wearing it quite a bit, even with casual clothes.

…but amazingly beautiful for the ones in the know, a real connoisseur watch 👍🤩🤩 I absolutely love it, what an excellent choice, enjoy it and wear it in the best of your health ! PS: strap is always a very personal choice; as for me I love the original one, night blue with platinum stitches is perfect imho, but that’s only me 😉

Indeed, have a tendency towards these traditional models which are actually quite versatile

Thanks Mike ! Indeed the straps are quite personal choice. I guess my main point “against” the blue strap was the fact that it marks the watch as CEP. But will certainly go back to it sooner or later 😀 Will actually now start experimenting a little bit, since I’m sure that the grey, monochromatic color will enable quite a few combinations (and we also have on the VC forum a strong enabler @chronometer always posting new strap combinations) Jérôme
