GWIS introduces the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph Blue Panda Limited Edition, a special release for the Zürich boutique's refurbishment. I understand that VC originally launched this watch, in late 2018, following the refurbishment of their Zürich boutique. The boutique is at 38 Bahnhofstrasse and so there are 38 pieces for the chronograph and the time/date model. Although this model was launched for the Zürich boutique, it is (or was (I am not sure how many are left)) available through the other boutiques. I recently sourced mine through the great VC boutique in London.

The panda has a sunburst silver dial and mat blue chronograph sub-dials, together with navy blue minutes and seconds rings. It’s not as vibrant as the usual lacquered blue dial but the combination of the silver sunburst and the mat and navy blue make it very smart looking and interesting. My pictures don’t do it justice - the dial is much more “alive” in real life!

This is my first VC and I am very impressed. It wears well, it’s got real presence, the finishing of the case and movement is superb and it winds incredibly smoothly. To my mind it’s easily equivalent to the Nautilus and Royal Oak, plus it has the interchangeable straps, micro adjustment of the bracelet, it is protected against magnetism and it is more waterproof that it’s competitors.

I bought my first VC Overseas only recently and can easily confirm what you have said about its qualities. The chrono is a beautiful piece, in particular with the panda dial, but for me, a date window between 4 and 5 is a no-go for any watch. Enjoy it to the max. Best, V.

Beautiful and obviously pretty unique. My sibling says hello and I totally agree about the quality and presence of this model. I’m wearing mine far more than my Rolex BLNR.
