Thanks to Mr. Gouget, CEO of Vacheron Constantin (Japan) and The Hour Glass Ginza, I was fortunately invited to one of the "Hour Club" dinner events, which was indeed the first time in Japan.

The Venue....  Nice table setting as well as room setting.... (the room was dark, so I asked a few official photos from VC - thanks!).

Ah, so nice French....

Oh, my.... very, very nice....

Forgot to take most of the dishes and here is dessert already smile  Sorry!

Now, the founder of "The Hour Club", Mr. Alex Ghotbi (Yeah, known as "Alex" here) makes a short presentation.....

The official photo.... with better camera and skill smile

And then, the glove was circulated - why?

I can't show you here, but they brought in quite unique pieces - but it was not permitted to post here for some reason....  Sorry folks, but they were really great pieces....

With Mr. Ghotbi came Mr. Dominique Bernaz, Retail Director from Swiss.

Now the watches that CAN be shown here....

Patrimony Traditional Small Second

Maitiers d'Art - Florilege: set of three watches, LE of 20 sets.

Patrimony Traditional 14 days Tourbillon

1972 Prestage - Available only at the boutiques

1972 Prestage

Historique Toledo 1951

Now, the Hour Club members enjoying the evening....

It really was a nice evening for the Vacheron Constantin owners/ The Hour Club members.  It was also very nice meeting Alex in person finally here in Tokyo.

Thanks again, Mr. Ghotbi and Mr. Bernaz for coming from Switzerland.

And my sincere thanks to Mr. Gouget, CEO, and all the staff of Vacheron Constantin (Japan).

(Note: My apologies for having taken such a long time to post this. The event was held at the end of September).

Best,
Ken

About the CHRONOSWISS Historiques Ref. 1972Prestige

The Chronoswiss Historiques 1972Prestige is a distinctive model within the Historiques collection, characterized by its non-traditional case shape. It represents Chronoswiss's exploration of design beyond conventional round forms, offering a unique aesthetic that appeals to collectors seeking individuality and historical design influences from the early 1970s. This reference stands out for its commitment to a specific period's design language while maintaining Chronoswiss's signature attention to detail.

The watch features an 18k white gold case, measuring 38mm x 38mm, which houses the automatic caliber C. 125. This movement provides a power reserve of 40 hours. The silver dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, ensuring clarity and durability. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters, suitable for everyday wear but not for immersion. The fixed bezel complements the overall case design.

This reference appeals to collectors who appreciate independent watchmaking and specific vintage design cues, particularly those drawn to the 1970s aesthetic. It offers a blend of traditional craftsmanship with a less common case silhouette, making it a noteworthy piece for those interested in Chronoswiss's more experimental designs. The inclusion of a date complication adds practical functionality to its distinctive appearance.

All I can say is....

... they were incredibly beautiful pieces.... :-) Yes, I think this type of direct interaction with the brands is always essential and promotes loyalty from the owner side. It's fun and makes owners feel "important", and that is the key..... Especially because Japanese watch connoisseurs are too shy to participate internet forum like this in English. Such a fun event and nicely done. Ken

I wish I could attend

so as to get to interact with Japanese watch collectors, as I told Alex. But had to return home after the W&W. Maybe next time. Thanks for the post :) Melvin
