TonyR's post offers a compelling comparison between two distinct Vacheron Constantin timepieces: a vintage 1955 model and a modern Overseas. His personal preference for the vintage piece, despite its smaller 36mm size compared to the 42mm Overseas, highlights a common dilemma for collectors balancing historical charm with contemporary utility. This discussion explores the enduring appeal of vintage Vacheron Constantin and its place alongside modern sports watches.

The 1955 VC is my favorite of the two, I use the Overseas as a travel watch. 36mm vs 42mm and I'll still take the vintage piece all day!

The 1955 looks wonderful!

Everyone likes a Rolls-Royce car. And everyone likes a beautiful classic Vacheron Constantin.

Now it's okay. And also not so lucky!!

It was very strange reading your thread and getting a feeling that how can he be satisfied with just two watches, albeit of a great pedigree... Now you've removed my confusion. We're on same ship. Take care. Regards
