Perhaps the most interesting offer from Tudor / Rolex this year... The Tudor Black Bay Chrono is a 41 mm watch, in steel, with an in house chronograph movement!

The movement is the Cal MT 5813, automatic, with a silicium spiral, offering a power reserve of 70 hours.

The Black Bay Signature? The hour hand, of course.

Screw in pushers, reminding the Vintage Tudor Chronographs ref 7031 / 7032, as well as the two sub dials configuration, the date at 6 o' clock and the bezel.

The case is water resistant to 200 meters. The crown is screw in, too.

And the price, for such a watch, is quite fair, as it is under 5000 Euros.

What do you think? How do you feel it?

Best,

Nicolas

About the Rolex Tudor Chronograph Ref. 7032

The Tudor Chronograph reference 7032 is distinguished by its fixed stainless steel bezel, setting it apart from its sibling reference 7031 which features a bakelite bezel. This particular reference is part of the early generation of Tudor chronographs, often recognized for its distinctive aesthetic elements that established the brand's independent design language within the chronograph category. It represents a significant step in Tudor's development of sports watches, moving beyond direct Rolex counterparts.

This chronograph is housed in a stainless steel case, typically measuring 39mm in diameter. It is powered by a manual-winding Valjoux 7734 caliber, known for its robust and reliable performance. The movement provides a power reserve of approximately 45 hours. The watch features a plexiglass crystal, contributing to its vintage appeal and period-correct specifications.

For collectors, the reference 7032 is a sought-after piece due to its specific bezel material and its place in the lineage of Tudor chronographs. It appeals to those who appreciate the subtle variations within a model family and the historical significance of early Tudor sports watches. While grey dials are noted, black dial versions also exist, offering collectors different aesthetic choices within this reference.

not bad but could have been better is my initial take....

why have a date? why so much text above the date? not sure about the snowflake hour hand but ok, signature... screw pushers and crown look great to me. on the contrary, price point very appealing. 200m water resistance is super, but wish some better swim strap options included. Not sure the ones on picture are great on the beach but perhaps I am wrong... will I buy it in this iteration, unlikely but I am sure they will sell lots of these regardless! Bravo Tudor for filling that price segment wit

You also have the bracelet! I am not totally crazy about that one, but it is a fair offer, and an interesting one from an horological point of view. [nt]

I suppose all good things need to cycle through a bad phase...

I wonder if they\'re entering one with this offering. That date is a no go. It almost feels like a blatant appeal to the commercial. I guess after doing all those very well thought out tributes that they\'re probably starting to lose a bit of creative steam. Of course, I cannot make judgements by this sole offering alone. But it\'s not my idea of a Black Bay release for sure. At least the price is reasonable and will definitely appeal to a certain market. Not as bad as a cyclops on that SD I sup
