INTP, also known as the Logical Person's personality, is perhaps an enigmatic kind. You'll know you're in the presence of one, when you've observed a sense of calm introspection, almost as if the person is exploring the cosmos in his own mind. These individuals make terrible emotional pillars, but are brilliant supernovas for humanity.

You might have guessed a few historical figures with this personality.

Albert Einstein:

George Soros

Rumour has it that this personality type is so distant from the common world, that they cannot bother about trivial things such as a multiple watch collection. Something sturdy, that works reliably would be good enough...

Dustin Hoffman's choice seems to agree with the theory:

The individuals you are talking about here are of a superior intellect and far from being “more than normal” interested in only one single subject - like wristwatches. (A subject we have to admit is totally irrelevant in a broader perspective - but still fascinating). We are a strange kind of people, I remember when Time Zone was the only “real” watch community of which I had the pleasure of being one of the early members, the founder Richard Page (watchmaker by profession) launched the term WIS

I suspected u are one when I first came across your posts. So it is true. Do you predict watchmakers like George Daniels and FP Journe belong to this group too? I believe they are. I can spot an INTP from a mile away, because they stand out by being silent but when they speak, they roar.

And I believe we could mention a few more within the watchmaking community. Roger Smith being one.

. . . as charged. My M&B test results indicated perfect correlation as to Thinking and Prospecting. And as you may have expected, I was the only INTP in the group of twenty or so participants. ;-)

the spectrum of personalities is so diverse. Myers and Briggs were so brilliant to come up with this method of classifying types, it almost seems, quite accurate, in the realm of qualitative science. I hope you remember me from many years back, when I was so new in this hobby. Thanks for the congratulations for the 1k post. How time flies! I would like to put a picture of myself for a reference to who Cookies really is. Have a great week!

Again an interesting subject. So, you are wise like the persons you show. Why i admire Longines is that AE owns a peace. I like the name, when the company start making watches, the logo. For me, Longines is at same play as Patek Philippe, the matter the prices they put on the watches. Trivial things of collecting watches. When i do it, i am not a wild spender. I overthink many things. Cancel, or not cancel, etc. To the subject, many crazy scientists can be obsessed, and an obsession by catching
