Jrwong23's recap of the Singapore PuristS GTG in December 2014 offers a vibrant look into the community's regular gatherings, emphasizing camaraderie over mere watch showcasing. This post captures the essence of watch collecting as a shared passion, where discussions, insights, and the joy of friendship elevate the experience beyond individual pieces. It serves as a testament to the enduring spirit of the WatchProSite community and the value of in-person connections among collectors.
Last night some PuristS in Singapore gathered for our
regular GTG. It was not meant as a year end GTG as we gather quite often and
some of us will definitely meet again before 2015 but the number (and nature/variety) of watches
shared certainly made last night more special than a year end gtg!
Special thanks to our moderator horogasm who brought
along a war chest of some of his watches!
It was a feast for the eyes indeed! Sharings
from him to us the younger PuristS were also very insightful about watch
collecting and our love for watches.
There were also some nice vintage pieces shared by other PuristS and it was a rare night that I could see 2 Montblanc Villerets (both piece #1 out of 8 and 58) side by side!
Some pics of our evening to share with fellow PuristS here. Pardon the photos as the lighting was rather dark at the bistro.
The watches were cool... But as always, the friendship and fun we had were even cooler!
Fellow friends who attended last night, pls feel free to share more pics! Enjoy the eye candies below.
Cheers
Robin

I can tell that was an exciting and memorable GTG to you. I miss GTG which normally ends with table shot for a long time. Regards Ling
