jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) introduces the Montblanc Tourbillon Cylindrique Geosphères NightSky Limited Edition, a new white gold novelty launched at Watches and Wonders 2015. This post builds upon his previous detailed coverage of the red gold version, offering live pictures and first impressions of this highly artisanal timepiece.

This is another novelty launched at Watches and Wonders 2015 by Montblanc.

The Montblanc Tourbillon Cylindrique Geosphères was launched in SIHH 2015 and I had covered it in some detail in previous posts.
You can look at these links for my previous posts on this beautiful "Super Watch", the red gold version launched in Jan 2015.

This new version is in white gold and imho, even nicer than the red gold version!
Also limited to 18 pieces (these days I don't find any Montblanc Villerets in LE 58 anymore, only piece uniques, 8 or 18!) and of course, also inspired by Vasco da Gama.
Similar high artisanal standards can be found on this watch, just like the red gold version including the two handpainted spheres and a solid 18k gold dial.

Here are some live pictures, which I took in a private session with Mr Alexander Schmiedt as well as two of my PuristS friends from Singapore.

To be honest, this was an impromptu session. I have another session with Alex tomorrow which I will have more time for pictures. Alex saw my friends and I at the cocktail bar and invited us in to see these beautiful
Montblanc Villeret watches. A friend who is a seasoned PP and Lange collected never saw a Montblanc Villeret before (until I showed my Chronograph grand feu enamel) was very impressed with the collection Villeret's finishing and consistent artisanal standards - the consistent use of gold dials and German silver on the movement plates are two very good examples.

The upper part of the dial where the Cylindrique  Tourbillon is is made of Aventurine, the translucent blue quartz found on the Heritage Chronometrie ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph Vasco da Gama edition.
This part of the dial looks like the NightSky and hence the name for this watch. This is not very clear on this picture unfortunately and I hope to take a better picture tomorrow.

Three generations of Montblancs with the Villeret calibre 13.21. My Chronograph grand feu enamel, the Vintage Pulsograph grand feu enamel and the latest Heritage Spirit Pulsograph.
I love the Villeret Vintage Pulsograph with the combination of red gold and black enamel dial! It is lovely in the metal!
I believe there will be no more Montblancs using the calibre 13.21 anymore.

This was a session of Montblanc Villerets galore! A treat for the eyes indeed! I will take more pictures of the regular Montblancs tomorrow at the booth smile
Hope you like these for now.

you should buy and show me in Paris Robin Nevertheless, I hope they will not stop the 13.21, or at least replace it by an evolution which will remain with the same level of finish and design. Thanks again for your feedback and pics Robin. This is a great place to be during the year. Cheers, Mark

I also hope MB Villeret will continue to have nice and improved chronographs too going forward. The Tourbillon Cylinderique Geospheres NightSky is growing on me. I can\'t afford it but I really like it! Will show more pictures soon Cheers Robin
