We walked early as our agenda for today is pretty full, and "we" wore a gold plated Seiko ladies watch, part of my revival project this week.

I hope you can see in these photos that the entire disc of the moon is visible, not just the sliver at the left.

I have never seen the tide this high. It was almost to the road. The tide chart showed +7 feet at 6:39am.

These photos were taken between 6:20-6:30.

I started to take pictures of crosses and domes visible on the hills far above us, it being Sunday morning.

Not realizing my wife was taking pictures of me.

Since I am taking them, she says, I don't get into the pictures often enough.

A beauty shot of the truck so it doesn't feel left out. All these photos are at the northeast corner of Fiesta Island, a place we haven't visited for about 5 years. Frankly, this part of the island was boring because it's all fenced off except the road, and a sliver of sand not covered by high water.

However, the views as dawn arrived were pretty nice, free from visual distractions.

Since it's a long one-way road and not very safe to walk at this hour, we drove around the corner to the west.

I'd like to title the following photo CRESCENT

And now we came to the reason for the title of this post.

Without looking at the tide charts, I can imagine a guy last night saying, "Hey Louie, let's have a couple of cold ones and sleep in the truck. The boat and trailer will be fine where they are."

I can't find the photos right now but I personally have been stuck on the island, and it was not a simple matter to get out of soft sand and salt water. So I resisted the urge to wade out there and hitch up my truck to the trailer.

My wife, always a Good Samaritan, but deterred by cold water, agreed. We left the boat for when the owners wake up.

The sun was just coming up as we neared our house.

The watch!

Since I didn't get any good bird photos on Fiesta Island today, can I insert this one I took through our kitchen window?

Cheers,

Cazalea

Your last photo reminded me of this ww2.rspb.org.uk When there was one in Durham! I'd forgotten how long ago it was. Cheers JML

One of the most common and widespread warblers. Breeds in forested areas with at least some conifers. Found in open woods and shrubby areas during migration and winter, including coastal vegetation, parks, and residential areas. Forages for insects, often sallying out to snatch them in midair. Also eats berries in winter. Often travels in large flocks. Two subspecies: "Audubon's" in the West and "Myrtle" in the East. "Audubon's" has a yellow throat in all plumages. "Myrtle" has whitish throat. M
