Earlier in the year, I received the coveted 5370P which kept me quiet for a while.

As the year comes to a close, the bug got me itchy again and i resumed my acquisition trail. Last month saw several pieces incoming...

Firstly, a relatively modest one - Parmigiani made 8 exclusive pieces with a local AD by modifying its (new) Toric Chronometer model - a white gold-blue dial version. The date was moved to the 12 o'clock position and a small seconds hand was installed at 6 o'clock. Also, the index '8' was applied in rose gold, giving the piece a more unique feeling....

Next, the Daytona in white gold, grey dial. This sought-after piece did not need much introduction and has become my latest daily beater...

Then a piece I have been waiting for patiently....the FP Journe Vagabondage III jumping seconds in platinum, a limited production of 69 pieces. The movement is gorgeous!

Finally, I was informed that my grail will soon be available around Christmas. I quickly rushed to the bank and bought some Euros. It's a BIIIGGG piece, can you guess what it is? Here is a hint - it is limited to 20 pieces and I have to sell one of my kidneys to fund it smile

All the best for the coming holiday seasons!

About the F.P. Journe Vagabondage I Ref. vagabondage

The F.P. Journe Vagabondage I represents the inaugural reference in the Vagabondage series, introduced in 2004. This reference establishes the foundation for F.P. Journe's exploration of unconventional time display concepts within a compact case format.

The 36.5mm platinum case houses the manual-winding caliber 1509 movement, delivering 40 hours of power reserve. The silver dial is protected by sapphire crystal, while a fixed bezel maintains clean lines. Water resistance extends to 30 meters, and the watch is completed with a leather strap.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking F.P. Journe's approach to alternative time displays in a more intimate case size. The platinum construction and manual movement align with the brand's commitment to traditional materials and hand-winding mechanisms. As the first Vagabondage reference, it occupies a specific position for collectors interested in F.P. Journe's horological concepts beyond conventional displays.

Regarding your big incoming timepiece, could it be a Patek Philippe LE minute repeater? Best wishes Alkiro

The only pity is that the hour+minute and the jumping seconds mechanisms are powered separately and therefore not synchronized. As for the big incoming - most Patek repeaters are not limited editions. Also my hearing is not so good so I am shying away from the MRs for the time being. Allow me to keep that a secret for a few more days.

Wonderful additions, and looking forward to the final piece. Could it be a Lange?

The bespoke dial of Parmigiani piece is awesome and special that I like. Merry Christmas and happy new year ahead. Stefan
