This watch is probably the best and funniest purchase I ever made. I bought it from a old man i know has owned it since it was new. He is a client of my job, and I saw the watch on his arm the first time 7 years ago, and even then I asked if it was for sale, but it was not there then. Yesterday was

It was produced for an extended period, allowing for numerous dial, bezel, and hand variations throughout its production run. This reference is notable for its introduction of crown guards, enhancing the watch's robustness and contributing to its distinct profile. It solidified the GMT-Master's design language, which would influence subsequent generations.
This reference features a 40mm case, available in stainless steel, yellow gold, or a two-tone combination of steel and yellow gold. It is powered by the automatic Caliber 1575, a chronometer-certified movement known for its reliability and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The watch is fitted with an acrylic crystal and offers a water resistance of 50 meters, suitable for everyday wear. The bidirectional rotating bezel, typically with an aluminum insert, displays a 24-hour scale.
For collectors, the 1675 is highly sought after due to its long production period and the resulting variety of configurations, including different dial types (gilt, matte), hand styles, and bezel colors (Pepsi, all-red, all-black). Its four-digit reference number and acrylic crystal are key characteristics that define it as a vintage Rolex. The reference appeals to those interested in the historical development of the GMT-Master line and the nuances of vintage watch collecting.
Here is the stamp 1/63
And a great year also. Mine says hello. Hard to see the second Swiss from this angle but you can see the to t<25 is in the same position as yours with the long index markers. Also from 1963. Bill

A pretty amazing dial and what appears to be an unpolished case on you example. A faded insert well. ok Bill
Yesterday i meet the man i buy the watch from and he told me that he can not find the box beacuse they are moving from a big house to another but i will find it sometime but i find this.. He give me a Green certificate holder and i feel that my heart start to pumt fast,is it the cert??? Yes!!! He told me tht this paper has been in this holder for about 50 years. I ask when he buy the watch and he say that he ordered it 1964 from a Swedish retailer named ASU and he give 900 Sek! Its about 110
What a great find. While the box is nice you have the most essential elements. It also validates that a lot of times the small guarantee paper is not filled in just supplied with the watch. But you can clearly see these papers lived in the little folder for many years. That is a great score by every standard. Luck you. Congratulations. Bill
