I've been on the fence several times with Ressence, and my options were almost the same as yours, but adding the blue Type 5 to the equation. Agree on the practicality of the date, which is almost a must for me, and the Type 3 white looks cooler than the black in my opinion. But I do love the look of the Type 5 as a king of sport/vacation watch, where the water resistance is definitely a plus (I love both colors, but maybe the blue more).
