Bruno.M1 initiates a compelling discussion, challenging collectors to choose between two distinctive sports watches, notably not on steel bracelets. His post invites readers to look beyond market value and consider the intrinsic appeal and design philosophy of each timepiece. This exploration highlights the nuanced preferences within the luxury watch community for watches that stand out from the mainstream.

I would choose the FF. It’s the sportier and more robust watch. And I have a problem with the uninspired date window of the Aquanaut.
Dive watches are my favorite genre, even if I do enjoy more formal pieces on occasion. I've been looking at adding a Ti FF.
The FF is a legendary dive watch with tones of history behind, it's all round shapes and curvy, very romantic watch. I like it best on the sail cloth strap which gives it a very subtle look. The aquanaute on the other hand is another very 70's industrial Gerald Genta styled piece, a very clean look, but to me, sorry to say, a bit "boring", but it's a PP.
One which I can use while doing sports or while swimming and skiing etc. After a long period of deliberation I decided to buy the new 42mm titanium FF on the bracelet. I hope this answers your question.
But the new Ti is very high on my wish list, I wish the bracelet was a tad thinner and offered a micro adjustment.
As a watch that's going into a collection, I'd choose that Fifty Fathoms for sure. It's far more spectacular! As a daily sports watch, though, it's too big and the Aquanaut is basically unbeatable, so with that in mind, I'd choose the Aquanaut for sure.
