On Saturday evening, the SoCal area PuristS welcomed our good friend and fellow moderator Don Corson for a nice dinner GTG.  It was great to see Don again and also to meet his lovely wife.  There were familiar faces and very cool to meet some new PuristS attending for the first time.

Our GTG was hosted at the Wine Room of the Capital Grille Restaurant at the Beverly Center.

Our menu for the evening, plus a special option not listed.... a delicious bone-in ribeye with a porcini rub and balsamic reduction.

First starter was a lobster and crab cake with a tartar sauce and fresh corn salad.

Crispy calamari with a sweet, tangy and spicy jalepenos.  Both starters were excellent.

Greens to balance out the large steaks we're having:

And one of the highlights of the evening, the bone-in ribeye smile

Desserts were a creme brulee and an expresso flourless cake.

Gerald Genta designed watches were worn by several PuristS during dinner.

And our special guest Don Corson brought along his handmade watches.

It was great to see Don and we all had a great time.  Thanks to everyone for joining us for this fun event!

Regards,
ED-209

Thanks to the organizers, and of course to Don for providing the occasion, and congratulations to the owners of all the great watches that were present!

The evening started well, first with free Valet parking for my rental car. The evening progressed well, with great company and food. Especially with Don Corson and his wife visiting from Geneva. I especially liked the wine! And the evening cumulated with an impressive gathering of watches and of watch-folk. Good to see everybody! Thanks Don for visiting!

If you had came, you would've been the person with the second longest drive! Don and his wife doesn't count, because they flew.
