Heartbreaker shares a heartfelt reflection on a PuristSPro community event, detailing a memorable trip from Switzerland to the Sicilian seaside. This post captures the essence of community, friendship, and shared passion for horology, highlighting factory visits to Hublot, Fehr, and Zenith, and the invaluable experience of connecting with fellow collectors and industry leaders like Jean-Claude Biver.

Long time ago, I've joined an international community of watch lover called PuristSPro, and... No, that's a too long story, I'd better start differently...

3 months ago, in PuristSPro was posted an invitation for a factory visit in Zenith, I've sent my application, and... No, another too long story, let's try a different starting...

Some days ago, I leaved my loved city for an all-new kind of holiday: for the first time I would have the opportunity to meet in the real life some of the Purists, to meet some of the industry leaders and to visit watch factories.

Well, so many stories I'd like to write about, so many pictures I'd like to share with you, but this first post is meant to express my most sincerely thankfulness to MTF (the great coordinator), Mr. Jean-Claude Biver (the extraordinary head of watchmaking at LVMH), Hublot, Fehr and Zenith (the factories that kindly hosted us), and...

...YOU, my amazing 14 fellow Purists with whom I've laughed, eaten and talked about watches&other beautiful things in life. You know, I was sure that every Purists meeting is a very friendly experience and I wasn't disappointed as I've had a very good time with all of you. That's the reason why I wanted to post, at first, some pictures about people plus a picture showing one of the received gift on a Sicilian sandy beach: yes, I've had a wonderful October swim smile.

Reports will follow about the factories, the watches, etc.

Arrivederci,

Elio

I too would like to thank all those at Hublot and Zenith that put together such a wonderfully memorable time for us. Thank you Mr. Chin for the excellent tour of Hublot. The most fascinating moment for me was meeting the person who actually discovered the formula for Magic Gold - so young yet so brilliant and innovative. At Fehr, the highlight was seeing a rose machine in action. I have seen rose machines in the past but to see them in operation was memorable - creating a dial as it has been don
