This morning, after a very long hiatus, I decided to strap on my Patek 5970P. I carefully wound and set it, and boy it was a joy to have on the wrist. For a few seconds, at least. As soon as I moved, I heard something that sounded off. And, alas, the loose screw was not in my head, but in the movement. I’ve made a drop-off appointment at Henri Stern (first opening was nearly two weeks from now), so I guess I’ll be saying goodbye to this one for a while. Hopefully it will run like new when it comes back!

It is a wonderful watch. And it's old enough that servicing seems appropriate. Thanks!
