Watcholic_id's recent post, 'New shoes... π₯³', offers a concise yet impactful look at a Patek Philippe strap change. This seemingly simple act of personalization opens a discussion on the nuances of strap dimensions and buckle choices, highlighting how minor adjustments can significantly alter a watch's aesthetic and wearability. Watcholic_id's preference for a tang buckle over a deployant clasp, and the specific 20-16mm strap size, provides valuable insight for collectors considering similar modifications.

You ve made it cooler than the original
I ordered something similar the other day but without contrasting stitching (I think) The PP strap ends at 13mm into the buckle which is tiny and a very dramatic drop from 20mm. I was not sure what to do. If I should opt for a buckle and have 16-18mm endings on a more casual strap. What did you end up doing?
And I donβt use the deploy buckle as I prefer a tang buckle. So the size is 20-16 π. Thanks ππΎ
But decided to stay with the PP sizes. Just love the deployment too much.
