Patekfinity's original post offers a captivating glimpse into the nighttime luminescence of two distinct Patek Philippe references, the 5520P and the 6007A. This article delves into the nuances of their lume performance, a critical yet often overlooked aspect for collectors. Patekfinity's personal observations provide valuable real-world context for understanding how these watches perform in low-light conditions.

The lume for 5520P is much brighter...I had to place the 6007 next to the light 💡 to make it bright enough for the photo Whereas, the 5520P was just sitting there and the lume is already over powering. It actually lasts a long time as well...slept with it on and at 5am still can see the dial on the 5520P
The Pilot 👨✈️ glows so brightly ! How long were both exposed under lighting ?
How do you find the 5520P? I have been seriously considering it. Any feedback would be welcome!
I used my iPhone flashlight on the 5520 maybe for 5-10sec but needed to hold the 6007 next to a brighter light source for at least 10 sec
It wears well and if you have a 5524 then it is very similar in size. As for the dial, I love the black with white hour markers and hands. Great contrast and easy to read. It wears really well with the calf skin strap, love it better than those “stiff” alligator straps. Of course, nothing can compare to the awesome sound of a “minute repeater” gong waking you up in the mornings!! Place the watch on a hard surface and the sound “reverberates” making the gong much louder!
Very interesting, thank you. My guess is that the 5520P has the C3 lume and the 6007A has C1 lume.
