In this insightful comparison, jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) offers a firsthand perspective on two prominent luxury sports watches: the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712 and the Piaget Polo S Green limited edition. His detailed analysis delves into design nuances, wearability, and value propositions, providing a valuable resource for collectors navigating the contemporary watch market. This article explores why the Piaget Polo S, despite initial comparisons, carves its own niche as a compelling alternative.

I think it was never an intention Piaget would copy another watch. Copy own models, while production is reproducing. The Polo S have better shapes, i guess it is taste related to me. I dislike the ugly ear at left, and the Patek do not make an impression on me.
a very nice watch in a fairer price range, and also like the slightly bigger case. I wish in the future there will be offered an iteration without this white date window. Personally I am no fan of white date windows on dials in another color. Best Thomas
