W220 shares a compelling account of the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5167's exceptional versatility, demonstrating its suitability for a wide range of activities from formal events to sports. The author's personal experience highlights how the 5167 has become an almost exclusive daily wearer.

I REALLY enjoy my 5167, it's such a versatile watch, and I nowadays this is almost the only watch I ever wear.

My daily wearer in the office and for formal events, it's there with me

Golfing, it's there:

On my nightstand:

At the range:

On the court:

While hiking

And when checking in with the forum...

Obviously also when swimming; I didn't have a picture of that, so you have to take my word for it!

I've had this one for almost 4 years now, and it has some scratches, but mechanically it still works as new!  The only "problem" with the 5167 is that the other Pateks in my humble collection gets very little wrist time these days...

About the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5167

Patek Philippe Aquanaut Reference 5167

The Reference 5167 represents the 40mm stainless steel iteration within Patek Philippe's Aquanaut model line. Introduced in 2007 and remaining in current production, this reference features a black dial and establishes the standard sizing for the steel Aquanaut offering.

The 40mm stainless steel case houses the automatic Caliber 324 S C movement, providing 45 hours of power reserve. The watch incorporates a sapphire crystal and smooth bezel configuration. Water resistance extends to 120 meters, while the distinctive composite rubber strap displays an embossed check pattern that complements the case design.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking contemporary Patek Philippe sports watch execution in stainless steel. The 5167 offers entry into the Aquanaut model range while maintaining the manufacturing standards associated with the Geneva manufacture. Its ongoing production status ensures availability through authorized channels for both new collectors and those expanding existing collections.

If you want to make the situation even worse, get the Tropical strap and change the bracelet every now and then to the Tropical. I am doing that and it is indeed very difficult to offer enough wrist time to my other watches. Aquanaut 5167 is simply so incredibly comfortable. Best, Kari

At the moment I have next to my bed a SdT watch winder for three watches. - on my wrist is most of the time 5167 in the winder - 5140P - 3712A - 5131G Every day I am wearing also one of the 240 cal. watches but always in the morning I start the day with 5167, take the shower and prepare for the daily routines. When I go somewhere, i.e. have a business meeting, I take one of the three winder watches. And when dressing back to home clothing, 5167 jumps back to the wrist. Funny but it works. Best,

... for posting great pictures like this. Since a few months already I have this 5167 in mind (actually a kind of obsession) but I have first another one in mind as target also, plus the coming holidays in Western America and my son's highschool coming up next year. OMG, how shall I fund all this, my life is becoming a nightmare (LOL). Because of you and your great pictures it will become more and more difficult to resist! Thanx for sharing these great pictures. Best, Mike PS: by the way hope it

I definitely wear it to both golf, tennis and while shooting anything from a .22 to a .454 Casull! Zero problems so far, the watch keeps perfect time. Life is too short to worry. This message has been edited by w220 on 2013-07-08 15:07:19
