Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and wondering if the experts here can give me some assistants on 2 watches.
I have purchased 5164R and I really really love it but I also noticed that 5167R was also in stock.

My mind goes with 5164R, I like it because I do travel ( not a lot, 2-4 times a year)  the 2 time helps and the 2 button on the Left hand side make the 5164R feel much bigger.
Due to the movement, the 5164R is much thicker and feel much heavier and I like that because all my watches are 41mm +
I have a JCL Duometre, DeepSea. and they all 43mm+  and I like it heavy.

But 5167 R is almost 20K cheaper, and that is a lot of money. It is much thinner and much more plan and Much lighter. I know people do feel simple is  better which I agree sometimes.
I'm stuck in the middle. I know watch is personally thing, I personally like the 5164R but 20K more and the 5167R is also very beautiful, 20K less .
PP experts out there, Which one will keep it value more ?? I don't buy watch because it might keep more value in the future but it can help me make decision where i'm stuck in the middle

My AD has placed both aside and give me a week to think if I should change to 5167R

Thank heaps

My suggestion, go for 5164A. Great size, great gmt function. you can "bang it around" and it should cost around the same as 5167R!

...particularly for current, regular production references. I'm afraid the answer to the "is it worth it" question is yours alone. That written, both are special pieces which will provide the lucky owner years of pleasure. My only suggestion: if money is a deciding factor (a very reasonable one I might add!), have you considered either reference in stainless rather than RG? Perhaps a way to close the cost gap while securing the dual-time zone functionality and added size you seem to be after...

Hi Marsy, I don't know when 5164A will become available and that is why I have decided to go with R . If you only have the R to choice from which one will you pick out of these 2? I got 2 kids under 3 so I'm thinking if I don't buy it now, there is a very good chance that i never buy it because I think the kids will spend most of my money hehe.

5164 R is a beautiful watch like you say you travel, and you like the heavier watch. Buy what you like and not to please anyone else. Regards Seconds.

I personally do like the 5167R. I find it classy with a twist, definitely the 5167R over 5167A for me. And I personally prefer the 5167 watches co-branded with tiff&co. That one additional line on the bottom does the magic and make the dial side less plain imo and it also retains value really well. I also pick the 5167R because it is cheaper in value compared to 5164R, when (and in case you need the cash) you want to sell it, you will likely find it easier to move than a 5164R.
