... to take a delivery of 5550 or to drink Romanee Conti 1991?  Both of which, the participants may not experience again for a long time..... smile

Oh, what aroma.... I just can't describe....  Extremely lucky to experience with such a reasonable (relatively speaking!) price....

5550... just another PP this evening.  Normally, something to celebrate the man who got the delivery (not me).

Yeah, yeah, yeah, silicon escapement, blah, blah, blah, must be great, many people would like to own... but who cares tonight?  We were all almost ignoring it....

Oh, man...

1991 - about time to breath, baby?

I really didn't want to finish....

We had a tremendously happy evening last night....

Oh, PP?  The owner was wearing it when we left the restaurant and then another bar, I think....  We had totally forgot about it....

.. for most of us.... (funny when I think some of them spend 100s of 1000s of dollars for one watch but still extremely awed by perhaps 10K wine bottles :-)) Ken

I can imagine the evening atmoshpere with three forms of art: watchmaking, gastronomy and oenology. I can also easily understand that, for such a night, one single element musn't come over the others as they should all be equally mixed together. Congratulations to your friend and thanks for sharing the event Ken. Cheers, Mark

wine is sustenance like bread and vegetables so i dont want to pay a fortune for something you will enjoy, but wont have in the morning. i'm just a normal guy who enjoys off the shelf wine, the stuff you can afford to buy 6 bottles of for a night in with family and really dont understand why people pay so much for a bottle of wine. still looks nice though :) G.
