The exposition in NY must be fantastic , I’m sure. Would love to go but that is impossible.
It was great to discover they made a few special watches for that event.

The wordltimers with NY skyline seem to be very well executed too. I like the watch but I would never buy it since a NY skyline doesn’t sing to me
That might be different if I was a NY citizen
But than we have the stainless steel pilot watch.
Finally a stainless steel ‘Calatrava’ made for my wrist … Finally something bigger than the average 37-39 mm
And being in steel is nice too. I have a few Patek but nothing in steel
A Calatrava was a watch I just had to buy one day, and this is the one I want to go for

After having contact with some people it seems that this watch will only be available in the US …. Ugh WHY ?? 600 pieces only for the US
The WT NY skyline is something I understand, this is just another WT like they made for example a special edition for the expo in Munich a couple of years ago.
I do believe most people who want to buy this WT NY skyline are from the US or do have a connection with NY
But that steel pilot watch ? I bet a lot of people around the world would want this !!
Couldn’t this be regular standard production ?
I live in Belgium, a small and probably not so important country for Patek
I’m 100% sure we will NEVER see such an amazing event in our country, which I understand. But it’s pretty annoying and frustrating that me and many, many non US citizens don’t get the chance to buy this watch
I have no contacts with any US Patek dealer so the chance to get this piece is 0.0%
If somebody at Patek reads this ( and I’m pretty sure they do monitor this site), can you explain why such a watch is not presented at Basel 2018 and made for the entire world
I wonder how other Patek enthusiasts feel about this
I believe they'll make only 3 of these ( but at 560K USD it's not my game anymore LOL)
