Clueless_Collector initiates a discussion to remind the community of the enduring appeal of the Patek Philippe Calatrava line, often overshadowed by the Nautilus and Aquanaut. He showcases his own Calatrava, emphasizing its continued charm.

Still loving this one.

love the dial Color very much. The Arabic hour markers are my preferred choice for time only watch.

Patek itself is trying to create a separate line for this and the 5524 and now the 5520 and future "Ref 55xx" - I would call this the Pilot series for Patek as they refer to it internally I believe But your message is right - the true Calatrava line, which is all precious metal save for the new steel calendar, is definitely forgotten. All the attention is on the Nautilus and Aquanaut, some on the Pilot, and too little for the Calatrava!

They created this 55xx line which I think will be here to stay. Thanks Mineral.

I like the fact it has no date and very casual, under the radar kind of watch, only few will know 😬
